A motorcycle rider severely hurt in a collision in Victorville was flown to a trauma hospital on Sunday night, October 30, 2022.
The crash transpired at about 7:45 p.m. near the intersection of Bear Valley and Hesperia Roads to the west.
A burgundy 2016 Kia Optima and a gray 1992 Indian motorcycle were involved in the collision.
As soon as they arrived, the fire department reported one individual had suffered a critical injury and asked for a helicopter to land at Desert Valley Hospital.
The male rider was evacuated to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center after being taken in an ambulance to the helipad.
The female driver of the car was taken to the hospital with what seemed to be minor injuries after authorities called the second ambulance.
While they cleaned up the situation, Bear Valley Road’s westbound lanes were temporarily closed.
The Victorville Police Department is looking into the accident’s official cause.
